2 weeks since we've been HOME!!!

So, we got home on December 17th, after 2 days of traveling from the island. We landing Puerto Rico for a night and explored the next day. Then landed in Washington to meet Kam's dad for the first time and then home!!! So the weather went from 90 degree weather on Dominica, to 80 degrees in Puerto Rico to 35 degrees and Snowing in Washington and then 65 degrees in CALIFORNIA!!!

We are definitely enjoying home. The first week we devoted to being with our families and of course, visiting VEGAS for X-mas! And today for the first time since DOminica, it was just us TWO for the whole day. We went to the movies in the morning to see Black Swan, then home and stayed in our pajamas, eating in bed, all day. It was soo relaxing and just comforting to enjoy being alone with him. Without the fuss and stress of school. In two weeks, Kam will be returning back to the island for only four more months and then back home to me, and then we hopefully go to Miami for his 5th semester. But till then, we are hanging out, stuffing our faces with tons of food and cherishing the time we have left till January 9th.

Last night in DOminica;)

Today and tonight will be bitter sweet! I have made such great life-long friends here on this tiny island. From the day I decided to move here with my love, and finally jumped on the plane, I would not have imagined a feeling like this. It was very tough, scary, but delightful. I have seen many beautiful places and not so hot spots, lol. But over all, I will leave a part of my heart here.

This is just another journey in our life together. We have built a relationship so powerful, we will conquer many more obstacles to come. A special thanks to my family for being so understanding and allowing me to fly away from the nest for a bit and especially my friends back home for all their love and support. And now I have added a few more people to my life, whom I will miss plenty. You are beautiful, strong and amazing women. Loveu girls:)

Study Sundays at Home:)

Sooo, normally Sundays we stay home and study in our underwear;) and drink coffee all day, but the closer it gets to tests, we just say home everyday:) It's a lot more comfortable because we just wake up, brush our teeth and begin to study!! And when we need a break, we go to school and pick up some junk food, come home and watch an episode of "True Blood" while eating. Which was pizza today:)

And then we must fill up on water for overnight, because between the both of us, we go through water like there is No tomorrow!!
And this is what MY pizza looked like. MMmmmmm Mexican Pizza! and it's NOT because i'm Mexican but because it is GOOD!

Just a Saturday in Dominica:)

Well, on Saturdays, Ross provides a free transport to Roseau, which is about a 45 minute drive to the city on a road that is just ugghhh, HORRIBLE!!! but, its free and we get out of Picard for a few hours to grocery shop and get souvenirs for our loved ones! Michelle and I went and shopped for some Coke Light (diet coke) which runs out pretty fast near campus because the students are hooked on Caffeine. lol. We are good Spouses;) Then we got lucky to see a HUGE cruise ship docked!!!
The QUEEN MARY  2!!! I wanted to just jump on it and escape back home!!

When Cruise ships dock, Roseau locals put out a huge flea market and we get to shop for tons of island things. I was able to get many gifts for X-mas and bulk up on tea. Hopefully I get through security at the Airport, because the tea looks like a HUGE sac of weed!! lol. But is AMAZING! And I also picked up some Beautiful flowers for my kitchen just to make me happy! They were only 2E.C. which is about 80 cents in U.S. dollars. Awesome, riight?!?! and also some paper flowers:)

Then on the way home, i took a nap listening to Taylor Swift. GREAT album!! altogether, a really nice day! Now, its time for a chick flick with the other spouses to relax and have girl talk about our other halves. This island has it's ups and downs. It can be tough, but really lovely and peaceful when it's not pouring!

Thanks Dominica<3
